Mini-Lessons Cycle 3: Making our Teaching Stick
Day 3: Using technology in mini-lessons
Challenge: The educational purpose of the technology should be considered before a technology purchase. Once you’ve identified the purpose of the technological tools you’d like to have in your classroom, set them alongside the writing goals you have for your students. If you can align the two, then do the necessary research to ensure that you’re getting the best possible products. Finally, if your school cannot pay for technology you desire, look for technology grant opportunities so you can turn you instructional dreams into realities.
How will the technology you want help your whole-class instruction?
Will the infusion of technology help your students prepare for 21st-century jobs? If so, how?
