It’s Monday! What are you reading? 10/7/13


I’m reading lots, but it seems like I’m not reading as much in class, which is something I need to investigate further.

Also, we’re a month away from my 30th birthday. CRAY.

Right now I’m reading a thought-provoking book by Stanford professor (and theoretical future PhD advisor to yours truly) Jo Boaler. It’s called WHAT’S MATH GOT TO DO WITH IT?, which has the unfortunate/fortunate side effect of me singing Tina Turner every time I see the cover or think about it.

  1. Darn you! :) Now I’m singing Tina Turner every time you refer to this book title. The song crossed my mind in the past, but now I’m really into it. (This is not much of an educational post, chalk it up as a stroll down musical memory lane.) Love ya, Mom
