Challenge: Think about forseeable problems you face with students in your classroom. Brainstorm ways you might solve predictable problems now.
How can you be proactive by working with the students whose situations you envisioned, who are at risk for having a bad peer conference experience?
How will you respond if a parent demands to have a child’s writing partner changed after a particularly bad peer conference?
